Mastering Electrons in LOw Dimensional Innovative Carbides (MELODIC) – MELODIC
MXenes are the functional nanomaterials forming the building blocks of an impressive number of potentially useful industrial applications. In all previously published data, there is a clear lack of quantitative information about the basic electron properties.
Cable-driven parallel Robots for Agile operations in manufacturing FaciliTies – CRAFT
The CRAFT project aims to design, model and control Cable-Driven Parallel Robots (CDPRs) for agile operations in manufacturing facilities. The CDPRs developed in CRAFT will: (i) work in cluttered environments, (ii) be autonomous, (iii) allow the user to co-manipulate large and/or heavy objects. An important obstacle to the dissemination of CDPRs is a lack of standards. Hence, another objective of CRAFT is to define some standards for CDPRs that will be submitted to regulation authorities.
Microscale spatiotemporal investigation of multi-species electroactive biofilms using optical microfluidic platform – MICROBE
Electroactive microbial biofilms are electrochemical biocatalysts capable of extracting the chemical energy contained in a wide range of organic substrates (effluents, biowaste, biomass, etc.) in the form of a flow of electrons (electric current). However, in the case of electroactive biofilms, the «multispecies« character gives biofilms a complexity that no one is currently able to master.
Controlled Computation of Point-Defect Characteristics in High entropy Alloys – CoCoA
This project aims at obtaining an improved understanding of point defect (PDs) physics in High Entropy Alloys (HEAs), and at providing methods to precisely characterize their intrinsic properties at the atomic scale. These quantities are then used to inform meso-scale models (of e.g. mechanical properties and diffusion), so as to predict HEAs behavior and guide alloy design.
Cultural policies, local heritage and collaborative approaches in Eastern Insulindia – POPEI-coll
POPEI-coll aims at strengthening the dialogue between cultural policies, science and local heritage. The collaborative research in East Indonesia and East Timor seeks to analyse cultural policy arenas and to compare local and scientific representations of local heritage. They aim to identify various mechanisms for collaborative development, awareness raising on the issue of local heritage, and transfer of know-how.
Water-soluble aza-BODIPY platform for multimodal imaging and trackable therapeutics – WazaBY
Development of a new class of water-soluble fluorophores, optimized for near infrared imaging (NIR).
Functionalitzation of the boron center on the aza-BODIPYs, in order to develop new bimodal and theranostic agents.
Valorization of the systems by a preclinical study, aiming at the bimodal imaging and theranostic approach of cancers overexpressing PD-L1.
