Access ERC Starting Call for Projects 2023
The purpose of the ACCESS ERC call is to support young talents in the preparation of their first application to the ERC Starting Grants, by enabling them to strengthen their CVs, so that they can be competitive in this specific call. The Access ERC programme consists in financing two-year (24 months) post-doctoral contracts for young PhDs hosted in French research labs.

The unequal impact of matching students with schools – MATCHINEQ
This ANR project investigated the unequal impact of matching students with schools. Many countries implemented policies to increase the freedom of choice, giving rise to mechanisms that allocate students to certain schools. A concern here is that the benefit of these choices might not be equally distributed. We investigate such concerns and potential solutions in three different contexts: school choice in Chile, centralized college matching in France and decentralized college matching in Canada.

Le lancement officiel de la chaire industrielle WinEsca a eu lieu mercredi 5 avril 2023 à Pau. Cette chaire, soutenue par l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) et portée par l’université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour, Jas Hennessy & Co, et la société GreenCell, vise à développer des stratégies de protection agroécologique pour lutter contre l’esca, une maladie du bois de la vigne.

The project aims to understand how tax expenditures, both direct and indirect, are perceived and how they affect the fiscal contract. The latter is an implicit contract between taxpayers and the State; in return for paying taxes, taxpayers expect the State to provide public services and allow them to participate in political decision-making. The often inequitable nature of tax expenditures can hinder this process.
