Distant Supervision for Meeting Minutes with Rhetorical Relations – SUMM-RE
Whereas state of the art approaches to summarization treat discourse as a mere sequence of utterances, we hypothesize that the rich semantic information represented through discourse relations and structure will help to identify discourse central threads in a conversation and retrieve important semantic information such as why a certain decision was made or where there was disagreement about a certain issue.
Towards effIcient bloCkchain-based disTributed SDN ArchiteCtures – TIC-TAC-SDN
There is a growing interest in using blockchain within distributed Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures to address certain limitations such as state synchronization and trust between distributed SDN controllers. The blockchain technology introduces a significant latency that is incompatible with many Internet of Things applications. TIC-TAC-SDN aims at developing a new adaptive consensus protocol to address this problem.
Digital twin contribution to better control the morphological properties of aggregates under hydrodynamic constraints – MORPHING

Unraveling intra-pulse dynamics and fast energy transfer in silica glass - a pathway for smart processing using ultrafast lasers – INTRALAS
A pathway for smart processing using ultrafast lasers
Bridge Functional in Molecular DFT – BRIDGE
The solvation properties of molecules/macromolecules are investigated within the classical DFT at the molecular level of description. The HNC approximation used until now ignores the so-called bridge functions, which appear to be non negligible, especially in aqueous solvents. The project proposes different routes to produce efficient bridge functional/functions.
micro-Organisms and Reactivity of HYdrOgeN in underground – ORHYON
Hydrogen (H2) is a very promising resource. It can be transported and stored in large amounts into underground natural reservoirs. H2 is also produced as a geological resource from natural emissions.

The results of the chair will lead to a better understanding of the processes controlling H2 migration and retention in geological formations; to new tools and methodologies to reduce the risks associated with geological storage; to provide technical guidance for its exploration and production.
Sodium channel trafficking pathways in cardiomyocyte – TRAFFIC
The CASK protein is a major determinant of the electromechanical organization of the cardiomyocyte.
Ultra-Rapid Sintering: Multiphysics Simulation, Mechanisms, Control And Stabilization – ULTRARAPIDE
Flash sintering (ultra-fast) is a very interesting process for the implementation of «ultra-fast« prototyping of ceramic objects. However, the inherent instability of the heating and sintering process strongly limits the use of this process to samples of a few millimeters. In this project, we will explore different hybrid heating configurations to extend the stability of the process to shapes of a few centimeters.
Correlative Scanning Precession Electron Diffraction and Atom Probe Tomography to access the 3D polycrystalline grain microstructure of nanomaterials – 3D_SPED_APT
In transmission electron microscopy acquiring a stack of diffraction patterns by moving the beam in a two-dimensional scan produces a four-dimensional dataset that contains the information related to all the overlapping grains. Besides, Atom Probe tomography (APT) provides a complete chemical description of the sample. Correlative 3D-SPED orientation mapping and atom probe tomography is expected to provide a complete characterization of materials at nano-scale.
Dense ARray for seismic site effect Estimation – DARE
It is well-known that superficial geological layers can strongly modify the surface ground motion induced by an earthquake, that can lead to significant amplifications. These so-called site effects are highly variable from one site to another. Site-specific studies are therefore necessary to take into account this phenomenon in all its complexity at a given site. However site-specific studies have historically been considered difficult to carry out in low-to-moderate seismicity regions.
