Optimization of Urban Synchromodal Systems – OPUSS
Last mile delivery concerns the last stage of a transport system, from wholesale transport to the delivery to final customers. Because of its synchromodal aspect (several modes of transport subject to synchronization constraints), it is the nightmare of logisticians, especially in urban areas. This project aims at designing advanced optimization algorithms to plan transports in such synchromodal networks.
Catholic migrants in a plural society : social and religious anchoring – relimig
Non-European Catholic Migrants in France<br />In the context of secularization, growing religious diversity and the increased population mobility, this project looks at the transformation of religion as a social fact. It concerns Catholic migrants (African, Creole, Asian and Latin American) arriving in the metropolitan regions of Lyon and Paris.
VIRTualization of Experimental facilities in structural aCoustics by wall pressure syntHesis – VIRTECH
Virtualize costly and energy-intensive acoustic testing resources by exploiting source networks to reproduce exciting pressure fields.
Flexibility and neural dynamics of conscious access – FlexConscious

The Integration by Religions of Migrants in Burkina Faso – Relinsert
This project aims to analyze the role of religions in the insertion of migrants who settle in Burkina Faso or who are from this country, in three regions characterized by important migratory and religious dynamics.
Manipulation and obsolescence of online information – MOII
New communication technologies have allowed the emergence of intermediaries facilitating the collection and dissemination of useful information for both sides of the market. Providing this information generates negative externalities: employers have little incentive to withdraw obsolete job ads and hotels or restaurateurs have an interest in manipulating ratings or comments on their profile or that of their competitors. We want to measure the magnitude of these externalities.
Hydrothermal transformation of cellulosic substrates assisted by photocatalysis – PHOTHER
The objective is to replace petroleum resources with biomass to generate energy and/or manufacture platform molecules to synthesize drugs, plastics, etc. by developing a less energy-consuming concept, and new, more efficient and less expensive materials.
Assessments of vulnerability of mature and secondary forests to climatic water stress in Southeast Asia – CWSSEA
The overarching aim of this study is to estimate canopy transpiration and evaluate its variations with climatic conditions, such as atmospheric humidity and soil moisture in primary and secondary forests of Southeast Asia. This project also investigates species-specific responses to water stress by assessing tree hydraulics and stomatal conductance, which will provide a mechanistic understanding of the trees’ ability to conduct water from soil and uptake carbon from the atmosphere.
Deciphering the cell heterogeneity and the spatial distribution of pathogens in food matrices in interaction with microbial communities – PathoFood
For microbial risk management, current regulatory affairs provide food safety recommendations and rules essentially based on a threshold, which does not take into account the heterogeneity of the pathogen population within the complex environment of food matrices. Phenotypic heterogeneity at single-cell level is an intrinsic feature of foodborne pathogens to be considered for controlling food safety and develop relevant quantitative microbial risk assessment.
Electrochemical pressure impedance spectroscopy for transport characterization in electrochemical cells – EPISTEL
Sustained fluctuations of the outlet pressure of a fuel cell cause fluctuations of its voltage. Depending on the frequency, the ratio of these two fluctuating variables allows observation of transport in both gas and liquid phases, as shown by combined experimental and theoretical approaches.
