Decision system for smart management of resources in warehouses – AGIRE
The project AGIRE addresses the human resources management in warehouses which supply either sale points (B2B) or final consumers (B2C). Such warehouses are under pressure due to the no inventory policy at the sale points and to the constant growth of e-commerce sales. In terms of logistics, this translates into an increasing number of parcels to prepare and to ship to satisfy an order, which is known typically a few hours in advance.
Computational design of molecular catalysts for hydrogen production – CODEC
This approach combining experimental and theoretical should lead to a real synergy which will help experimenters to pilot, rationalize and improve the design of catalysts, and theorists to validate their calculated structures and their reaction mechanisms.
Self-assembled printable hydrogels from biocompatible amphiphiles for tissue engineering – SELFAMPHI
Recent work shows the properties of self-assembly into fibrils and bilayers of biological surfactants. These molecules form hydrogels. These materials are an interesting alternative to matrices commonly developed from molecules of synthetic origin. The objective is to find bio-based molecules capable of forming hydrogels, whose extrusion properties would be controlled for applications in the biomedical field.
IoniC LIquid Crystals: Towards TunAble-by-Design ElectroLytes – CITADEL
Its overarching goal is to deliver proof of concept demonstration of efficient nanoconfined ionic transport going beyond current state of the art performances of currently used electrolytes to trigger the dawn of safer-by-design next generations key enabling technology (KET) 2.0 solutions in reply to mankind’s energy needs.
All-Solid-state litHium sulfUr Battery with a poLymer Electrolyte – SHUTTLE
High energy density, low cost, and safe battery devices are a need to promote the energy transition. To answer this challenge, all-solid-state Li-sulfur batteries are a promising solution. However, achieving an efficient combination between a sulfur cathode and a Li anode remains a challenge. The proposed solution is to design an adapted polymer electrolyte acting as battery separator and cathode binder stable with Li metal and blocking the polysulfide redow shuttle.
Deciphering the Cell Senescence Code to Improve Healthspan – S-ENCODE
Senescence is a cellular response to nonlethal genotoxic and oncogenic stress Cellular senescence is a double-edged sword process playing beneficial roles during embryogenesis, wound healing, and tumor suppression while contributing to age-related diseases. Consistently, senescent cells are enriched in the affected tissues of these diseases. Importantly, senescent cell elimination in animals prevents the appearance of age-related diseases.
The IRON cycle in deep-sea hydrothermal vents: role of iron-reducing and iron-oxidizing MIcroorganisms and impact on MInerals alteration – IRON2MI
We address 3 main hypotheses: (i) the characterization of new taxa involved in Fe-cycle, in addition to those already known, and the study of their metabolic pathways will allow to identify new Fe gene markers, (ii) the use of Fe gene markers will allow to study the structure and functions of microbial communities involved in the Fe cycle at the scale of a hydrothermal site, and (iii) microorganisms using Fe in their energy pathways contribute significantly to the alteration of Fe-rich minerals.
Catalyst Design for Small Molecules Activation and Reduction by Electrocatalysis – CaDeSMARE
Our goals are to address the fundamental and major societal issues related to cost-effective and energetically efficient production of NH3 from N2 via homogeneous catalysis and the catalytic reversible transformation of the couple H+/H2 for fuel cell applications. Catalysts based on polydentate N ligands/metal combination are targeted to evaluate N2 and H2 activation; reduction of N2 into NH3.
Statistical Regionalization Models Intercomparisons and Hydrological Impacts Project – StaRMIP
From global climate to regional data for hydrological impacts
