Nanowire based electrodes engineering for photocatalysis – BEEP
Are semiconductor nanowires better than thin films for hydrogen generation?
Nanostructured Materials for Advanced Na Solid-sTate battERies – Na-MASTER
The main objective of this project is to develop by the synergic effect of both experiments and theory a full Sodium All Solid-State Battery (Na-ASSB) with superior performances in order to new solutions for electrochemical energy storage devices (cheaper, safzer, ...)
Nanoscale thermal sensing using hybrid diamond sensors – THESEUS
THESEUS project is geared towards the disruptive development of hybrid nano-thermometers, surpassing the performances of present nanoscale temperature probes, by providing sensitivities in the sub-mK/vHz range and high spatial resolution down to a few tens of nanometres, while operating over a broad range of temperature (200 K – 600 K) and in various environments including biological media.
Nano-mechanical engineering of 2D materials – CHACAL
The objective of the CHACAL research program is to better understand the behaviour and mechanical stability of 2D materials under local mechanical stresses, with a particular focus on their response/resistance to buckling under compressive stresses.<br />Our experimental approach consists in synthesizing/characterizing graphene on substrates of interest, and then thermo-mechanically stressing them.
NGAL, a novel target in Hypertension and associated comorbidities – NGAL-HT
«Our recent exploratory studies identified novel key roles of NGAL (Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin) in the control of blood pressure. This led to the NGAL-HT consortium associating synergic expertise in pathophysiological research, translational studies and population genetics.
NExT (I-SITE)

Méthodes moléculaires pour le stockage d'énergie et la production de carburant
molecular complexes were updated at ChemRxiv (2021) and were going to be submitted to Chem Eur J
Multiscale modelling of solvent phases for solvent extraction – MULTISEPAR
The recycling of rare-earth elements — critical materials for modern technologies — via liquid-liquid extraction involves structures ranging from atomic to colloidal scales. To model this complex process, an innovative multiscale methodology has been developed, providing a comprehensive understanding that enables both optimization and prediction of separation efficiency.
Multiscale estimation and Interface detection – Multisc-In
Interface detection is a challenging question in image processing, and more generally in graph processing, leading to a large panel of applications going from geophysics research to societal studies. The common point to these applications is the willingness to have an interface detection at a fine scale, possibly with subpixel accuracy, in order to extract interpretable parameters (e.g. physical or societal), from high resolution data.
Multiscale Sensing For Disease Monitoring In Vineyard Production – MERIAVINO
Meriavino project aims at helping winegrowers to access real-time information and diagnosis for agronomic decisions. The objective is to supervise daily processes using multi-sensing cameras, and Agriculture Internet of Things (AIoT) devices in order to interconnect the vineyard parcels, as well as to develop a non-invasive, eco-friendly and low-cost technology for vineyard monitoring, allowing high precision analysis.
