Space-based Observations of the ice Sheets: Ice mass changes evaluated from 2013 to present. – SOSIce
Sea level rise has become a challenge facing society due particularly to the ice sheets. The mass loss of the ice sheets is due to increased surface melt runoff and outflow of ice associated with current climate warming. Here, we propose to improve our understanding of the dynamic component. Indeed, the ice discharge modulated by changes in ice velocity and thickness changes remains the largest uncertainty in the current and future contribution of the ice sheets to sea level rise.

Saturated Open-pore Foams for Innovative Tribology in Turbomachines – SOFITT
The projetct addresses an emerging activity dealing with a biomimetically inspired mechanism consisting of self-sustained fluid films generated within saturated compressible porous layers. It aims to design a new, reliable, highly efficient and low ecological solution for guidance and supporting systems in turbomachinery.
Enhanced Neutrino Tagging and Energy Reconstruction – ENTER
The project aims at developing a new technique to study neutrino oscillation. So far the properties of the neutrino are measured relying uniquely on the interaction process. We propose to complement these measurements by using the production processes. This extra information would allow to reach unprecedented neutrino energy resolutions. In addition it allows to follow each neutrino from creation to detection and thus removes beam composition uncertainties.
Exhaust gas selective sensing using printed RF gas sensors – CARDIF
Exposure to toxic gases or volatile organic compounds affects public safety and health. With the Internet of Things, widescale roll-out of gas sensors becomes accessible in order to monitor and analyze the environment, in public or private spaces. CARDIF project aims for the development of devices printed on flexible substrates and based on transduction in the radiofrequency range.
Fungal communities associated with marine plastic waste and their bioremediation potential – MycoPLAST
Plastics debris pervades in our oceans and freshwater systems at an increasing accumulation rate. While identifying the major sources of plastics are critical, greater investigations on the plastic microbiome to characterize the whole microbial communities appear also essential. The major aim of MycoPLAST is thus to highlight specific microbial communities, and more precisely fungal communities, able to degrade plastics.
Orchestration in time and space of southeast Tibetan faults, views from geology and geodesy – Tibetan-Orchestra
The eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau is a key location to study the interplay between strike-slip motions and thickening through time and understand the regional orchestration between lateral propagation and crustal thickening of the plateau .
Innovative strategy to treat Charcot-Marie-Tooth patients based on translational readthrough molecules by in vitro screening using CRISPR-Cas9 and iPSc technologies – NeurIT
Innovative strategy to treat patients with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease based on an in vitro study of readthrough molecules in induced pluripotent stem cell-derived motor neuron models modified by CRISPR-Cas9 molecular scissors technology
In vivo gynogenesis in maize: novel insights into plant double fertilization – NOT-LIKE-DAD
A deviation from the classical double fertilization process of higher plants induces in peculiar maize lines haploid embryos containing only the maternal genome. This project aims to use this unique maize line as tool to better understand plant sexual reproduction.
