Quantum Dynamics of the Diffusion of Adsorbates – QDDA
The diffusion of reactive adsorbates on a catalytic substrate is an elementary step in heterogeneous catalysis. Its nature has been by 3He-spin-echo experiments. The project is to study the diffusion process from fundamental principles based on quantum mechanics in order to better understand the experimental outcomes. This study will lead to major progress in the technology of catalytic processes, essential for the world’s economy and sustainable growth.
Impact of pesticide use on avian populations in French vineyards: an integrative approach – VITIBIRD
Impact des structures paysagères et de l'usage des pesticides sur les populations d’oiseaux dans les vignobles français.
PHOtoresponsive Nonlinear Optical Monolayers – PHONOM
Design of thin films with switchable second harmonic generation optical properties
INSIGHTS INTO SOCIAL EXCLUSION RESPONSES: THE COGNITIVE UNDERPINNINGS OF ANTI- AND PRO-SOCIAL BEHAVIORS – InSER
Our goal is to break the vicious circle that exists between social exclusion and antisocial behaviors by tuning the cognitive processes producing prosocial responses. We argue that the key levers are situational appraisals which extract social contextual features: the prospect of consecutive exclusion leads to antisocial responses, whereas the potential for reinclusion leads to prosocial responses.
Predicting Inner Wood Defects from Outer Bark Features – WoodSeer
A trained expert can detect subtle variations in bark roughness to reveal the presence of underlying defects. Could AI, utilizing 3D data, replicate this ability and potentially reconstruct the hidden defect?
DISTINGUO: a Knowledge Base on "Distinctiones", the Backbones of Medieval Preaching – DISTINGUO
DISTINGUO: a Knowledge Base on Distinctiones,<br />the Backbones of Medieval Preaching
Smart Autonomous Microscopy – SAMic
Our goal is to automate disturbance microscopy experiments for non-expert microscopy users and HCS applications.
Synthesis of Fluorinated Ni(IV) Organometallics. – Ni4Rf
Organofluorine compounds are ubiquitous in medicinal chemistry and agrochemistry. However, the creation of C-CF3 bonds mediated by metals is very challenging due to the M-CF3 bond strength. An original strategy to enable an easier reductive elimination of aryl-CF3 derivatives from well-defined aryl-M-CF3 platforms resides in the preparation of high oxidation state organometallics, more prone to be reduced by 2 electrons. The Ni4Rf project seeks to explore this strategy using Ni(III) and Ni(IV).
DEVELOPMENT OF CARBON MONOXIDE-RELEASING MOLECULES CONJUGATED TO POLYSACCHARIDE CARRIERS TARGETING ADIPOSE TISSUE FOR THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY – SWEET-CO
The SWEET-CO project aims to produce new compounds that could preferentially release carbon monoxide (CO) to the adipose tissue and to be used in obesity. We have named these compounds 'Glyco-CORMs'. This idea came from data from our laboratory showing that CO-releasing molecule CORM-401 given orally to mice protects against weight gain, metabolic dysfunction and inflammation caused by a high fat diet, with effects on the adipose tissue.
