First Joint Transnational Call of the Raw Materials Partnership – RAMP – JTC 2026

40 funders from 27 countries are participating in the first Joint Transnational Call 2026 of RAMP, the European Partnership on Raw Materials under Horizon Europe. Altogether, their national and regional commitments amount to more than 40 million euros, dedicated to support transnational research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain.

The Call expects proposals which focus on improving access to raw materials while promoting circular economy practices, achieving sustainability, and minimising social and environmental costs. They should add value, innovate and contribute to industrial development. Proposals are encouraged to connect the different steps of the supply chain, bridge multiple disciplines, engage with stakeholders and situate themselves in the relevant policy context.

The thematic scope of the Joint Transnational Call draws on RAMP’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and includes primary and secondary supply, design and production, and the use and reuse of products and components.

The call covers six thematic areas across the raw materials value chain:

• Topic 1 : Ensuring a resilient supply of raw materials from primary sources
• Topic 2 : Targeting secondary sources to enhance access to raw materials
• Topic 3 : Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production
• Topic 4 : Overcoming technological barriers to circularity
• Topic 5 : Putting circular economy ambitions into action
• Topic 6 : Innovative approaches for analysing raw materials value chains

Applicants must choose one main topic that best reflects the project’s main objective and expected impact. Inter- and transdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged across all topics. A project consortium must be built of at least three independent legal entities (i.e. at least one coordinator and two other beneficiary partners) applying and deemed eligible for funding by relevant national/regional Funding Organisations from at least three different countries participating in the Call. Of these three entities, at least two must be from EU Member States or HE Associated Countries.

Partners of the selected proposals will be funded directly by their respective national or regional agencies. As a result, national/regional regulations apply in addition to call rules.
ANR will only fund French teams.
