UNIVERSITY CENTER OF INNOVATION - PUI - Call for proposals

This call for proposals aims to bring out, in addition to the 5 already committed, about twenty University center of Innovation i.e « Pôle universitaire d’innovation » (PUI) on the territory and to provide all the PUIs with the necessary means to accelerate the territorial dynamics of innovation. A PUI is made up of a consortium of research and innovation players from a local ecosystem.

This consortium includes at least:

• public establishments whose statutes provide for a research mission, as defined in decree no. 2021-882 of July 1st, 2021 (public higher education and research establishments, national research organizations, etc.);
   
• support structures for transfer and innovation (SATT, additional experiments of the SATT, transfer subsidiaries of higher education and research establishments, schools and research bodies, public research incubators). Without creating a new legal structure, the PUIs aim to gather all the existing initiatives, skills, tools and players in innovation to strengthen their articulation in order to maximize the impact of research results.

Two main objectives are assigned to the PUI:

1. increase the effectiveness and efficiency of innovation support actions (partnership research, technology transfer, entrepreneurship) within the site;
    
2. increase and accelerate the flow of innovation projects emerging from research laboratories and improve the rate of conversion to innovation of these projects, in particular through the creation of deeptech start-ups.
