Treatments and Adherence to Treatment protocols (OH-TREAT 2026)
While antibiotic resistance was responsible for 1.27 million deaths worldwide in 2019 (Murray et al., 2022), and antifungal resistance is progressing, rapid actions are needed. Without efficient preventive actions, new treatments and new treatment protocols, 10 million deaths could result from AMR in 2050.
The objective of this call is to improve the treatment success rates of the patients/animals/plants affected by bacterial or fungal infections by providing new treatment options while reducing the risk of resistance in the different One Health settings.
Through this call, the EUP OHAMR intends to create and reinforce the collaboration between research partners coming from different countries and different fields of expertise to promote research on antibiotic and antifungal resistance. Consortia must include a minimum of 3 eligible partners asking for funding from 3 different countries participating in the call (Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia,South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom) including at least 2 European countries or associate. The maximum number of partners allowed (including non-funded partners) is 6. The maximum number of partners can be increased to 7 if the consortium includes a junior principal investigator, a company, or a partner from Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Poland, and Slovakia.
Participation of companies is encouraged. The budget of non-funded partners shall not exceed 30% of the total transnational project budget requested and consortia should always consist of a majority of project partners eligible for funding.
ANR will only fund the French partners of the selected projects. The maximum funding per partner allowed is 250 000 euros (or 330 000 euros if the French partner is also the coordinator of the project), and the maximum amount per project is 450 000 euros.
Selected projects will be funded for an initial period of three years. In agreement with ANR policy, funded researchers should respect the guidelines of the Nagoya protocol and consider open access publication of their results.
Interested researchers can consult the documents of the call for more information.
Call text and proposal template can be found on the EUP OHAMR website and on this webpage.
