JPcofuND 2. Understanding the mechanisms of non-pharmacological intervention
The ANR launches in collaboration with the ERA-NET JPcofuND 2 a joint call to support multinational, collaborative research projects aiming at improving the understanding of the mechanisms and biological substrates that underlie non-pharmacological interventions in order to tailor a holistic personalized treatment approach. Several non-pharmacological interventions have been shown to be effective and accepted by the patients. Such interventions may include, among others, psychosocial interventions, neuromodulation, nutrition or exercise. However, there is yet little knowledge about the mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions, e. g. on the molecular or cellular level.
Endothelial damage and repair in SARS-CoV-2 related vascular injury – ENDOCOV-19
with a range of manifestations. SARS-CoV-2 infects type II pneumocytes by binding to membrane-bound ang [...] ACE2 gene (CKI-hACE2) to allow conditional cell type-specific expression of hACE2, in particular in specific [...] authorization of the French Biomedicine Agency (Agence de la Biomédecine) to perform human arterial and adjacent
Ultra Low Power Smart 3D Cochlea – ULP-COCHLEA
ULP COCHLEA project will permit, by mimicry, the design of smarter, smaller, cheaper and passive bioinspired acoustic sensors for long-duration in-situ monitoring and analysis of marine environment and related maritime activities especially in Mediterranean Sea. The project will enable the development of cognitive and predictive models for understanding submarine life for long spatial and temporal scales.
Deciphering the roles of lipid-targeted regulatory networks in the control of de novo organogenesis – fatROOT

Development of microfluidic devices to model Heart-Brain interactions in Torsades de Pointes – NeuroCard
Torsades de Pointes (TdPs) are malignant ventricular arrhythmia leading to sudden death. TdPs are observed [...] hERG channel. HERG mutations lead to TdPs in LQTS type 2 (LQT2). LQT2 patients commonly present neurological [...] gical and Ca2+ signaling responses of each cell type. The AMN-CM µFC co-cultures will be here evaluated
Ice Crystals in deep convective Clouds: interactions with Aerosols, Radiation and Electricity – ICCARE
While deep convection clouds are a fundamental source of fresh water, they can also be responsible for intense precipitation, hail, lightning, wind gusts and tornadoes, with significant societal, economic and natural impacts. Unfortunately, while forecasting precipitation on local, regional and global scales in a context of climate change is crucial, ice cloud microphysics is a major cause of systematic errors in numerical models.
Assessment of the effects of ionizing radiation in bees – BEERAD
Human activities linked to nuclear industry generate ionizing radiation. However, their ecotoxicological properties are poorly studied on non-human organisms. This project proposes using the honeybees as a model to study the effects of ionizing radiation on major physiological functions, and also at individual and population levels. Honeybees are insects of economic, agro-environmental, societal and scientific importance.
