Targeting PUFA metabolism in MAcrophages In cardiovascular diseases – PUMAs
Fatty acids are essential in the control of macrophage functions: they contribute to energy supply that govern macrophages (re)programming, they are also key components of cell membranes and precursors of signaling molecules. While most of genes involved in FA metabolism in macrophages are now identified, the consequences of their modulation are still largely to be explored in terms of regulation of cell functions and their implication in CVD diseases.
In vivo gynogenesis in maize: novel insights into plant double fertilization – NOT-LIKE-DAD
A deviation from the classical double fertilization process of higher plants induces in peculiar maize lines haploid embryos containing only the maternal genome. This project aims to use this unique maize line as tool to better understand plant sexual reproduction.
Integrating microbial METAbolism into CLOUD chemistry: from" omics" to a model – METACLOUD
METACLOUD is focused on studying the ability of the cloud microbiome to metabolize single carbon (C1) compounds and integrate it into a model of atmospheric chemistry. Its originality is «omic« methods. For the moment these biological processes are not described in the models.
A-site Manganites for mAgNetoelectrics and mulTiferroics from extreme conditionS – AMANTS
The hypotheses underpinning this AMANTS project are 1) that a variety of novel A-site based Mn oxide perovskites and related phases can be recovered from high pressure synthesis, and that these new materials will have interesting and potentially useful properties. And 2) that the new playground of “hard-soft” synthesis has an important role on the new A-site Mn2+ materials by modifying their anion lattices.
Structure and molecular function of the pseudopilus in type 2 protein secretion pathway – SYNERGY_T2SS
Synergy_T2SS aims to decipher the structure and function or the pseudopilus - the dynamic motor of type II secretion system, and that in three model bacteria. The current models of the secretion mechanism - «piston« and «archimedes' screw« predict different pseudopilus dynamics and interactions with the secreted substrates. We aim to test these prediction using integrative approaches, and to propose a unified and experimentally validated model of type II secretion mechanism.
STRUCTURAL INSIGHTS INTO PRMT COMPLEXES: DECIPHERIING REGULATION OF ARGININE METHYLATION BY PROTEIN ARGININE METHYLTRANSFERASES. – InSiPRMTs
Deciphering regulation of arginine methylation by Protein Arginine methyltransferases.
Secret Archives of the Basilica of Nicea provided by the Sediments of Iznik Lake – BASILIZNIK-SECRETS
SECRET ARCHIVES OF THE BASILICA OF NICEA PROVIDED BY THE SEDIMENTS OF LAKE IZNIK
Modeling hIerarchy between Cardiac descriptors with MAChine learning – MIC-MAC
Representation learning and in particular unsupervised learning enable knowledge discovery and risk stratification in medical databases, but need to solve key issues in terms of data integration. Data descriptors are numerous, can be high-dimensional and of heterogeneous types, and their combination is not trivial. MIC-MAC aims to substantially improve the analysis of medical images on these aspects.
Metastability for nonlinear processes – METANOLIN
The project deals with questions linked to metastability for nonlinear stochastic processes: the so-called self-stabilizing diffusion (which is a McKean-Vlasov diffusion in which the law of the process intervenes in the drift through convolution), the self-interacting diffusio, (where the occupation measure intervenes in the drift) and Keller-Segel type diffusions (with space-time interaction).
Transformation of raw lignocellulosic biomass into glycols and amino derivatives: catalysts design, reactivity, modeling – CatReMo
