ICT in large and small dairy systems – DairyICT
This multidisciplinary project seeks to integrate and extend existing state of the art technologies to ensure sustainable and responsible management of dairy units, with focus on cow health, milk qual
Anion Blended Materials Conception – ANION-CO
Besides conventional chemical methods based on the optimization of existing materials (a large part being oxide-compounds) onward reaching their limits, alternative strategies are necessary to pursue
Microporous materials: green syntheses for green applications – MICROGREEN
The present project deals with synthesis of microporous zeolite type materials with the ultimate goal to reach a deeper understanding of their mechanism of formation. Zeolites and zeolite-like materials are studied today and applied in many different ways and fields including but not limited to ion exchange, catalytic processes, adsorption applications, electronic and sensing applications as well as in medicine and nanotechnology.
Single ion induced surface nanostructures – SIISU
Ions are a powerful tool to produce surface structures in the nano-scale. The interaction of the ion with the surface creates a high energy density, which is extremely localized. This leads to surface structures, with their size in the range of several nano-meters. The effect of the kinetic energy as well as the charge state of the ion on the structures will be studied. A detailed insight in the processes may lead to on-demand structuring for applications.
Development of an intelligent electromyostimulator for muscular conditioning – ELECSTIM
Create a smart electromyostimulator to optimize the re-training of neuromuscular function in order to improve quality and speed the recovery of muscle strength and motor function in patients with muscular deconditioning
Transmission lines and vias on a novel SUbstrate, metallic NAnowire based, for Millimeter-wave Interposer – TSUNAMI
The TSUNAMI project is mainly related to the information, communication and nanotechnologies priority axe of the « Stratégie Nationale de Recherche et d’Information » (SNRI). In particular, this proje
Neuroprotective properties of peptides derived from the Bornavirus X protein – X-protect
Control of cellular apoptosis is a strategy often used by viruses to limit cellular damage. For neurotropic viruses, it is one key element that allows them to persist in the brain and to cope with the
EFFECTS OF MATERNAL SOCIAL FACTORS ON CHILD’S EPIGENETICS. STUDIES IN PREGNANT WOMEN AND IN OBESE CHILDREN. – EPICHILD
This study will investigate the biological underpinnings by which early life experiences are able to shape the regulatory systems underlying the development of childhood obesity. We hypothesize that epigenetics (here the CpG methylation of genomic DNA), because it can keep a durable biological memory of early social events, could be this missing biological link.
