Musimorphoses project gives ear to music listening in the digital age
The project, which benefits from a 36-month ANR grant worth €296 K, is peering into how music is shared, sold, recorded, broadcast, played, promoted and pirated in the Western world and other regions throughout the planet. The hardware and software that underpin them, often overlooked by sociological research, are given a prominent role in the study.
POLYPERL: scientists pry into the world of pearl oysters
In 30 years’ time, pearl culture has become a critical economic activity in French Polynesia. To counter the crisis affecting the sector, the POLYPERL project, launched in February 2012 and funded by ANR over a period of four years in the amount of €707 k, seeks to both further fundamental knowledge on oyster pearls and their culture, as well as produce operational tools for industry professionals with a view to sustainable and integrated management of pearl culture in French Polynesia.

The Com'Toniq project transmits the world's first ultra-high speed wireless communications
In the field of wireless communications, system complexity is pushing the envelope and pushing physical limits. Wireless communications systems are required to transmit ever greater quantities of information to users who have massively gone mobile. A recent demonstration carried out by the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology's Com'Toniq project has set out the premises for upcoming terahertz communications and 5G networks.

Project-based research - Boosting France-Mexico cooperation
During the French President's state visit to Mexico on April 10-11, 2014, ANR signed a new agreement with its Mexican counterpart, the National Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT). The aim of the agreement is to strengthen the Franco-Mexican scientific cooperation and promote the funding of joint research projects carried out by teams from both countries. The agreement should be implemented within ANR’s 2015 Work Programme.
8ème journée ANR des écotechnologies : quatre innovations récompensées
Organisée le 2 avril au Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances, la 8<sup>ème</sup> journée ANR des écotechnologies a réuni près de 200 participants. Ce rendez-vous de la communauté des scientifiques et des professionnels des éco-industries a permis de dresser un bilan des actions menées par l’ANR ces dernières années et de présenter des éléments d'impact des programmes successifs de l'agence sur le champ des technologies de l’environnement. A l’issue de la journée, un prix ANR a été décerné à quatre projets, considérés comme les plus innovants parmi la centaine de projets financés par l’ANR dans ce domaine depuis 2005.
