Analyses of JavaScript Applications: Certification and Security – AJACS
We all depend on web applications. We shop, bank, socialize, work, collaborate, or communicate thanks to them. In all these cases, we entrust our personal data to them. These applications have become
Analysis and Understanding of Document Images in Network Media – AUDINM

Analysis of Multivariate Extremes and RISKs Assesment – AMERISKA
Multivariate Analysis of Extremes for Risk Assessment
Analysis of the dynamical coupling between the urban canopy and the turbulent atmospheric surface layer – URBANTURB
Understanding and modelling the dynamics of the atmosphere over urban terrains still represent a scientific challenge with high stakes for our ability to handle the ever growing population in urban areas and the associated issues of air quality and urban management. The project URBANTURB aims at elucidating the interaction mechanisms between the lower-atmosphere and the urban-canopy flow and developing new modelling strategies to account for the interaction between these two regions of the flow.
Analysis on singular and non-compact spaces: a C*-algebra approach – SINGSTAR
Many problems in Mathematical Physics, Number Theory, Geometry, Partial Differential Equations and other areas of science lead to advanced questions in Functional Analysis. An example of such a questi
Anderson localization of vector waves – LOVE
The main objective of the project was to study the role of the vector character of light and sound waves (in solids) in the Anderson localization phenomenon, especially in three-dimensional media where the very existence of the localization of light had been questioned previously. We have been able to show that the vector character of the waves does play an important role for the light but it is less crucial for the sound.
Anti-ion – ANTION
We work on the production, for the first time, of positively charged antihydrogen ion under controlled circumstances in the laboratory. We will measure the cross section of the antiproton/positronium and antihydrogen/positronium reactions and their matter counterparts, which lead to the anti-ion production. The antihydrogen ions will be used in the GBAR experiment at CERN, which aims at the direct measurement of the gravitational acceleration of neutral antimatter.
Antimicrobial plant phenolic compounds for food preservation – ACTIPHEN
ACTIPHEN aims at assessing the potential of plant extracts containing antimicrobial phenols with a molecular mass between 150 and 3,000 g.mol-1 for food preservation. This choice is based on the following observations:
- (i) antimicrobial activity of plant phenols has been less studied than their antioxidant activity;
- (ii) essential oils are the plant extracts which were the most studied for their antimicrobial activity.
