2nd Franco-Mexican Forum for Research and Innovation
In the wake of the 2013 Mexico City Forum, 2014 has been marked by the steady strengthening of relations between France and Mexico in higher education and research. The countries have determined work areas with a view to deepening bilateral cooperation by defining new scientific orientations, developing mobility flows and seeking out synergies between academic actors and enterprise in the two countries.

Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto’s state visit in France on 14-15 July provided a unique opportunity to shine a light on these actions. The forum's second edition, organised by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research in partnership with CONACYT, highlighted exchanges between French and Mexican actors, building bilateral cooperation based on shared priorities and taking into consideration training, research and innovation factors through synergies with help from industrial actors.
ANR participated in the presentation session detailing "instruments for cooperation in science and technology", more specifically the funding of common collaborative research instruments alongside its counterpart CONACYT. ANR's CEO Michael Matlosz participated in discussions outside the forum with the general director of CONACYT Enrique Cabrero Mendoza.
