Algorithms with Small Separations acKnowledged: graphs and linear matroids – ASSK
The main theme of this project is small separation phenomena on graphs and linear matroids, emphasizing the applications on algorithms design. The concept of separation in theoretical computer science is pervasive, in varying forms depending on the context. It is a fundamental concept that paves the way for graph theory, especially structural decomposition theory. Also it serves as a major engine for algorithms design.

Amino Acid Asymmetry – AAAs
Proteins and nucleic acids are functional biopolymers composed of L-amino acids and D ribose subunits that break chiral symmetry. The origin of the symmetry-breaking event is unknown. The AAAs project proposes to characterize chiroptical properties of chiral amino acids and their volatile aldehyde precursor molecules for the first time in the gas phase, where the initial asymmetric interactions between chiral photons and life’s molecular subunit precursors are assumed to occur.

Analytical characterization of hybrid nanoparticles for clinical trial – ANALYTAGUIX
Translation to the clinic of hybrid nanoparticles for clinical applications is tightly correlated with the development of robust analytical methods for characterization in complex biological media. AnalytAguix proposal aims at developing such kind of analytical methods for ultrasmall nanoparticles taking AGuIX nanoparticles as example. These nanoparticles are currently in phase 2 clinical trial for treating brain metastases.
Antimicrobials in agriculture: actors, practices, conflicts – AMAGRI
The regulation regime of antibiotic use in livestock farming put at the test of the antimicrobial resistance problem
Assessing seismic hazards in slowly deforming orogens. – SLOWDEF
Challenges and new methodology, from a field example: the Western Kunlun mountain range (Xinjiang, China).
At the edges of kinship : origins and new family configurations – ORIGINES
What meaning should be given to the ties uniting people who, without being relatives in the legal sense, are connected by the circumstances of a procreative act? This multidisciplinary project (history, social anthropology, sociology and law) regards the links - real or fantasized - created by the relation to «origins« in the new family configurations (adoption, assisted reproduction, surrogacy).
Atmospheric CORRosion and mechAnical alteration of bronze BELLs: a sound and artistic heritage in danger ? – BellACorr
The bronze bell (22% wt Sn - a / d phases) is a musical and communication instrument, but also by its ornamental epigraphy, a work of art. It is a historical and cultural heritage to be preserved. From its implementation, the bell is subjected to a physicochemical alteration due to an aggressive environment, and mechanical to ring it. Proposing a micro-infiltrating mechanism of its alteration and quantifying the impact on its sound qualities is a major issue for the bell conservation.
