Expanding the repertoire of STructurally conserved AviRulence proteins in plant pathogenic fungi to propose knowledge-driven plant resistance management – STARlep
The STARlep project aims at exploring structural and functional diversity among L. maculans avirulence (AVR) proteins to propose knowledge-driven plant resistance management. It includes structural characterisation of L. maculans AVR and their classification into structural families, determination of the plant proteins and cellular processes targeted by the AVR proteins and identification of resistances recognizing effectors with contrasted structures and functional mechanisms.
Plant –plant communication in the context of biocontrol and agroecosystems functioning relationships – oilseedPrime
will test, on Brassica napus, how plant diversity affects priming of plant defenses and shifts to reproduction [...] cue for herbivore attack. Upon egg recognition plants enhance their defensive-phenotype and shift to [...] reproduction and how such plant responses affect members of the food web on the field such as pests, their
What is the role of exogenous NO for plants, microbes, and their interactions in soil? – NO-PIMS
such as stimulation of the plant innate immune system, stimulation of plant morphogenesis and nutrition [...] on both microorganisms and plants, investigating the role of NO in plant-soil systems can lead to a greater [...] of plant-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions. Identifying sex-determining genes in the dioecious plant Silene latifolia – PlantGenomYX
15000 flowering plants are dioecious (= sex is carried by different individuals). These plants are over-r [...] (~17%). Understanding sex determination in dioecious plants is thus important for both fundamental and applied [...] Silene latifolia, one the best studied dioecious plants. We will produce a high-quality XY male genome
Rheological homeostasis of the expanding plant cell wall – HOMEOWALL
