Wheat and specific breads to solve gluten sensitivity – GlutN
Wheat is a major contributor to the human diet through many products. The gluten network, formed by storage proteins mixed with water, is necessary for processing. It also triggers gluten-related disorders: allergy, coeliac disease and non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS). NCGS is more and more frequent. NCGS is badly characterized and difficult to diagnose, as no clinical biomarker is available. The relevance of gluten-free diets for people without coeliac disease or wheat allergy is debated.
Scalable routing in Multi-Modal transportation networks – MultiMod
This project addresses key algorithmic challenges to enable the fast computation of personalized itineraries in large-scale multi-modal public transportation (PT) networks (bus, tram, metro, bicycle, etc.) combined with dynamic car-pooling. Our main challenge is to overcome the scalability of algorithms in terms of query processing time and data-structures space requirements, while including unplanned transportation means (car-pooling), real-time data, and personalized user constraints.
No conventional imagery for secure urban mobility – ICUB
Polarimetric imaging characterizes the reflection of the light. The use of this feature will allow us to go beyond the problems related to only pattern recognition. The light-material interaction and the relationship between polarization, reflection and fog will be a major asset to address the problem of road scene analysis in reduced visibility conditions . In addition, deep neural networks have shown their superiority for obstacle detection over conventional methods.

Asian monsoon Tropical Tropopause Layer: transport and composition – TTL-Xing
TTL-Xing: The Asian monsoon is the main convective region during summer that provides fresh air from the surface to the high atmosphere, that is then redistributed globaly. This region ia also highly polluted by human activities. Our aim is to study the monsoon impact on the composition of the air at high altitude and its anthropic evolution.
