Opening new avenues to model the DYnamics of Species aSsemblages by integrating Ecology and Evolution: a case study from the mountain ecosystems of the Alps and the Carpathians – ODYSSEE
Understanding the contribution of historical and ecological drivers to current distribution patterns of biodiversity to better forecast the response of mountain grasslands to global change
Identification of a predictive/prognostic genetic signature in Chagas Cardiomyopathy: A systems biology approach – Br-Fr-CHAGAS
myocarditis plays a major pathogenetic role in disease progression. Chagas thus remains a neglected disease [...] matory cardiomyopathy. CCC heart lesions present a Th1 T cell-rich myocarditis, with cardiomyocyte h [...] infected patients develop CCC, suggest there might be a genetic component to disease susceptibility. Moreover
Nanomaterials across a salinity gradient: exposure and ecotoxicological effects within a life cycle perspective (production, usage, end of life) – nanoSALT
nanomaterials (ENMs) embrace a wide range of technological domains and represent a significant economical fact [...] nanoSALT is to gather a maximum of disciplines from the three partners to elucidate using a holistic approach [...] from approximately 50 to more than 1300. Still now, a large number of uncertainties remain on the effects
From CO2 capture from postcombustion flue gas by a membrane process to its valorization in a sustainable process of production of sodium bicarbonate. – C2B
The C2B project is dedicated to the capture of CO2, from a flue gas coming from a coal-fired power plant, and its regeneration as a pure flow of CO2 for its utilization or its recycling. It gathers SOLVAY company, LRGP (Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés), LGC (Laboratoire de Génie Chimique) and POLYMEM company.
Demontration of of a Risk coverage Engine on a Territory – DEMOCRITE
DEMOCRITE incorporates tools for the analysis and operational coverage of risks at territory scale. These tools are dedicated for both cold planning and crisis situations and will be used to optimize the operational response (type, number, position … of vehicles). Some of the tools will be tested on a limited territory, and there extension will be studied.
Development of a safe and eco-friendly bipolar battery based on NiZn for supplying a robot – ROBOBAT
A Bipolar Nickel-zinc battery is environmentally friendly: it does not use lead or cadmium and is compliant with REACH regulations. It increases as well power and energy thanks to a bipolar design.
Bipolar technology provides flexibility in terms of power and energy by selecting dimensions and surface capacity of electrodes and voltage. The frontal collect of charges gives the possibility to use large electrodes thanks to a better distribution of current.

Stabilizing detergents through a salt-bridges network for studying and crystallizing in solution membrane proteins in a functional form. Application to multidrug ABC efflux pumps. – CLAMP
steps to a 3D-structure resolution, hampering structure-based drug design approaches. As a consequence [...] proteins share a net enrichment in basic residues at the interface between membrane and cytoplasm, a property [...] compactness of the membrane region and leading to a partial-to-severe loss of functionality. The field
Energy Integration of Systems and building Envelops : Development of a methodology and a numerical tool for optimizing the global performance – INTENSE
High energy efficiency buildings implement many different ways to reduce needs, increasing at the same time their energy production from renewable sources. Hence, their design requires achieving multicriteria optimization taking into account the life cycle and the financial costs. The traditional step by step design approaches (sobriety, efficacy, renewable energies) are actually substituted by global approaches that aim taking into account the complexity of the entire problem in a holistic way.
Does a genome made of multiple divergent copies allow genomic plasticity in absence of sexual reproduction in a plant-parasitic animal ? – ASEXEVOL
How an asexually-reproducing animal can be one the most devastating plant pest ? Animals with asexual reproduction lack genetic plasticity mechanisms such as alleles shuffling and recombination, both associated to sexual reproduction. In the root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp), we have identified genomes made of multiple divergent copies. We would like to assess whether such a peculiar genome could impact plasticity despite absence of sexual reproduction.
From fragments to inhibitors of MabA (FabG1) a new challenge to treat tuberculosis – 2FightTb
Innovative medicinal chemistry approach involving the design and synthesis of low molecular weight molecules, the use of high-throughput assays for measuring enzymatic and bactericidal activities of compounds and ADME profiling
