Functional properties of skin dendritic cell subsets: their role in Tolerance versus Immunity – SkinDCs
In the skin, we characterized different DC and macrophahes subsets. We know that tissue sentinels play specific role to keep homeostaissi status. The current project goals are to better understand such DC and macrophage heterogeneity not only phenotypically but alos functionally.
Uncover the role of skin- and lung-derived cytokine “thymic stromal lymphopoietin” in the onset of asthma – EPIMONA
a phenotype recapitulating the characteristic features of human asthma was generated, this mouse model
Computational methods for the analysis of transcriptional regulation in Plasmodium falciparum – PlasmoExpress
This project aims to develop new bioinformatic methods to understand
how the parasite responsible for malaria regulates the activity of its
genes, in response to a stress or a treatment. Ultimately, one aim is
to understand how the parasite reacts to an anti-malarial treatment,
to improve existing treatments and find new ones.
Sex chromosome and sex determination evolution in mammals – SEXYMUS
Except a few species, mammals have an extremely conserved sex determining system. However, within the African pygmy mice (genus Mus), we uncovered an extraordinary diversity of sex chromosomes. This diversity and their phylogenetic proximity with the laboratory mouse make them an excellent model. Hence, in the SEXYMUS project, we will investigate the evolution of mammalian sex determination and the evolutionary modification of sex chromosomes using the pygmy mice as proxies.
Epigenetic silencing by small ovarian RNAs – ESSOR
The maintenance of genome integrity is essential for the cellular identity. Understanding the biogenesis and the role of the piRNA in the repression of the transposable elements, DNA sequences able to multiply and move around de genome, is crucial.

Prosody: Accents, Dialects, Expressivity – PADE
propose to improve the description of acoustic features for voice quality, which constitutes one of the
Liquidity in Lightly Regulated Markets – Lancelot
Why are lightly-regulated markets important? Research involving lightly-regulated markets is young, mostly due to the lower amount of data available to researchers. A deep and broad understanding of the workings of these securities markets is however crucial to understand the different regulatory changes undergone in the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis. Research related to these markets is extremely relevant from a positive and normative perspective.
The Net Evolutionary Effects of Dynamic Sources of Selection, Social Plasticity, and Variable Environments – NetSelect
-How does short term selection that we measure lead to longer term evolutionary patterns when the social and ecological environment vary in space and time?
Characterization of forms of social and economic organizations associated with « firm agriculture » – AGRIFIRME
Understanding the emergence of new forms of entrepreneurship in agriculture
