Centre National de Médecine de Précision en Oncologie

PRISM Institute is a French institute dedicated to precision medicine in cancer care. Its mission is to better understand each patient’s unique cancer in order to offer more personalized, effective treatments from the very beginning—especially for those with the most aggressive forms of the disease.

Founded by five major institutions—Gustave Roussy (GR), Inserm, Université Paris-Saclay (UPS), CentraleSupélec (CS), and Unicancer—PRISM is located within the Grand Parc Campus, a place where research, healthcare, education, and innovation come together to fight cancer more effectively.

The goal of PRISM is to become a world-leading institute in precision oncology, where doctors and scientists work hand in hand to create a complete picture of both the cancer and the patient. This helps guide better decisions for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

PRISM’s activities are structured around four key pillars:

• Exploring all aspects of cancer biology through cutting-edge single-cell and multi-omics approaches.
• Integrating biological data with biotechnological platforms and mathematical modeling to generate a comprehensive, patient-level view of the disease.
• Translating innovative tools into clinical trials to evaluate their effectiveness and real-world impact for patients.
• Co-designing patient-centered strategies with major stakeholders to expand the adoption of precision oncology across the healthcare system.

Launched in 2024, Prism Institute was first consolidated during its first two years by reenforcing the governance structure, establishing various committees, recruiting new talents, and launching flagship projects.
