In 2025, the Paris Brain Institute consolidated its leadership in neuroscience through scientific excellence, clinical innovation, and socioeconomic impact. Under the new directorship of Pr. Stéphanie Debette, the Institute advanced its 2025–2030 strategic plan, focusing on precision medicine, AI-driven neuroscience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and international reach. Key achievements included: 584 publications (36.5% in journals with IF>7), including breakthroughs in neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, and brain-computer interfaces ; 17.2M€ in competitive funding (ANR, ERC, international grants), with 24 ERCs awarded since the Institute's creation (1 ERC Consolidator in 2025) ; 198 active clinical trials, with landmark studies in ALS, Parkinson’s, and MS; 39 new industrial partnerships, including the MediTwin consortium (digital twins for brain diseases) and collaborations with industrial stakeholders; a new model of the incubator in favor of in-house deep-tech enabled the launch of the NeurAL Startup Studio, accelerating 7 start-ups, and creating of 1 spin-off, CicaNeuro, to promote neuroprotection in Parkinsons’ disease; Open Brain School expanded, training >500 early career researchers ; the Institute prepared the first World Brain Health Forum, an international event focusing on Brain Helath. The Institute also strengthened global alliances (CURE-ND, Yale) and public engagement, reaching 100K+ social media followers and redesigning its website to enhance science communication.
