PRIMA – Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area call for proposals - Section 2 2024

PRIMA Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda identified 8 operational objectives for facing Mediterranean challenges related to Water management, Farming systems and Agro-food chains.

In this context, ANR participates to the 2024 Section 2 joint transnational call for proposals to fund innovative research projects addressing the following 3 topics:

• Effective water accounting approaches under crisis conditions: climate change and external shocks; 

• Revitalizing agroforestry practices for sustainable land use and climate resilience in the Mediterranean Region; 

• Leveraging urban and local food systems for sustainable food systems transformation. -

Only transnational projects will be funded. The consortia must be composed of at least four legal entities established in at least three different countries considered as PRIMA Participating States. All four legal entities must be independent of each other and established as follows: 

• At least one must be established in a EU Member State or a third country associated with Horizon 2020 participating to the Call for Proposals and not being a MPC (Mediterranean Partner Countries). In the frame of this Call, the countries concerned are: Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain. This includes the overseas countries and territories (OCTs) of the related Member States listed.

• At least two must be established in one of the following MPC: Algeria, Jordan, Israel, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Türkiye.
