Résumé

STORE-EX has been now running for almost 10 years and, without surprise, the least we can say is that the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically affected our projects as of March 2020 due to sanitary measures taken at local, national and international levels: 2month-complete lockdown of experimental work, re-organization of daily work in research units, home-working and remote meetings, cancellation of our first 2-day biannual meeting and big national and international meetings and professional travels as well due to air traffic lockdown.

 

In spite of this irresistible and unpredictable event, we have striven to maintain our activity in terms of governance activities (Scientific Council, Executive Committee…) and scientific production (161 peer-reviewed papers including 19 articles published in high impact journals in 2020). Asides from publications, 2 new patents were filed in 2020 (25 active patent families in total). Researches on Na-ion battery technology, interfaces phenomena in various technologies and all-solid state batteries are worldwide hot topics in which STORE-EX is moving forward in spite of a very fierce competition. Last, STORE-EX is then still at the forefront of academic and applied research with strong connections with 3 technology transfer centers and 14 industrial partners that are all members of the French Network on electrochemical storage systems (RS2E). 2020 will be solely highlighted by 5 major events:

 

i) on-going development of BIG-MAP and INSTABAT European projects relating respectively to the management of interfaces and sensing in batteries 

 

ii) on-going development of the Task Force internal project dedicated to all-solid state batteries and the launching of a new one on recycling

 

iii) 5 m€ raising of our spin-off TIAMAT to attack the market of hybridized vehicles

 

iv) “Trophées INPI” award in the “Research” category

 

v) changes of our YESS Award policy to both increase STORE-EX visibility and offer mid-term collaboration resources to the laureate.
