Synthèse Organique : des molécules au vivant

SynOrg LabEx (2012), Molecules for life sciences, is the research component of the research-traininginnovation triptych, certified by the PIA in the field of organic chemistry in Normandy with the XL-Chem Graduate school (label 2019) for the "training" component, and I2C Carnot for the innovation component (tremplin carnot in 2017 and Full Carnot in 2020). Synorg is the largest group of french organic chemistry laboratories in a territory which is the first basin of development and production of pharmaceutics in Europe. Labex Synorg relies on the skills of Norman researchers from COBRA and LCMT CNRS units and Centre Val de Loire IMT and ICOA CNRS Units in five differentiating strategic axes recognized for their excellence at national and international level: innovation in analycal chemistry , heteroelement chemistry, chemistry mediated by metals, glycochemistry and heterocycles. Important scientific breakthroughs were made in 2023 allowing to increase the international visibility in particular through the publication of articles in high impact newspapers. As a selection of lead papers in the field of health, we can mention :

- the optimizing upconversion nanoparticles for FRET Biosensing (ACS Nano)

- the NMR and DFT studies with a doubly labelled 15N/6Li trifluoromethyl sulfoximnes for the direct ortho litiation (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed)

- the photocatalytic alpha-trofluorometylthiolation of N-acyl amines  (ACS Catal)

- the blue light induced iron-catalyzed synthesis of gamma, delta unsaturaed ketones (ChemSusChem ).

- the miniaturized ozonolysis flow platform for texpeditious sulfur maustard warfare simulant neutrlization (Green Chem) ( J. Med Chem.)

In 2023, SynOrg published 125 publications and 3 book chapters. 3 patents were also granted in 2023.
