Elucidating molecular and cellular Causes of heteroTOPIA
This project combining molecular and cellular biologists, clinicians and bioinformaticians, studies severe cortical malformations, as well as the Eml1 protein during normal cortical development, and will identify how the mutation of this protein perturbs neuronal progenitor cell structure and function. The mechanisms maintaining such cells in the proliferative zones of the developing cortex are little understood and our project will identify key pathways controlling these critical processes.
Engineering India, colonial and post-colonial period
The engineering profession embodies the many transformations currently affecting India. It symbolizes the rise of the so-called ‘middle classes’ and India’s position as an emerging force on the international job market. Despite their importance in India’s economy and social structure, engineers have been neglected by the scholarship. The ENGIND project proposes to fill this empirical lacuna by analyzing their role in the construction of contemporary India from a sociohistorical perspective.
Gla-domainless Factor Xa as a new treatment of hemorrhages
Hemophilia is caused by a deficiency in factor VIII or IX. It is treated by the infusions of substitution products that cause the appearence of inhibitory antibodies in up to 30% of the cases. This limitation gave an oppportunity to developp alternative therapies.
Direct oral anticoagulants (DOA) target factor X and are used without antidotes. This creates threatened situations particularly in case of trauma-induced bleeds.

InAs Ultra Thin Film-Body Metal Oxide Semiconductor Heterostructure FET on Silicon wafer
The objective of the project is to reduce the consumption of N-channel MOSFET for introduction of a high mobility III-V material. The use of these materials should reduce the operating voltage in sub-of 0.5V regime.
KInetic models in Biology Or Related Domains
This project consists in gathering three teams of mathematicians specialized in PDEs and already collaborating with teams working in the sector of biology. We propose a detailed study of the modeling and the mathematical/numerical analysis of problems arising from different areas of this sector.
The common feature of those problems is the need to examine the qualitative properties of systems of PDEs which are distinct from any of the systems appearing in physics.
Kinetic of protein kinases inhibitors and Affinity by flexible Docking
Development of a flexible docking tool optimized for protein kinases including the prediction of the affinity constants and kinetic rate constants .
Lewis acids: acidity scales and catalytic activity
Lewis superacids : acidity scales and catalytic activity

The ALEA deals with synthetic and physicochemical aspects of catalytic reactions with Lewis superacids, which have shown to present an exceptional activity in the electrophilic activation of organic reactions and in catalysis.
The ALEA project has also opened interesting new perspectives concerning Lewis acid supported catalysts; it allowed for industrial contracts and for academic collaborations.
Mental simulation for spatial memory and language comprehension: from verbal to virtual in children and adults
The first aim of this project is to test whether less skilled comprehenders hardly construct perceptual-motor simulation (PMS) during reading. The second aim is to explore PMS during the construction of spatial mental models in individuals varying in their spatial abilities. The project relies on the use of complementary interference paradigms and combine behavioral and neuroscientific methods. Virtual reality will be used to reveal PMS and to test whether mental simulation can be stimulated.
