Belmont Forum and JPI Climate: launching of an international call on climate services
ANR, in collaboration with partners from twelve countries, has just launched a transnational call for proposals on the role of inter-regional links in climate variability and predictability. This call comes within the framework of a partnership between the Belmont Forum – which brings together the world's main funding agencies around the theme of global environmental changes – and the Joint Programming Initiative on climate (JPI Climate). The deadline for pre-proposal submission is set at 1st June 2015.

Impact of diet on health: ANR announces the launch of a European call for proposals on biomarkers in nutrition and health
As part of its participation in the "Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life (HDL)" Joint Programming Initiative (JPI), the French National Research Agency (ANR) is launching a first European call for proposals in the field of biomarkers in nutrition and health. These biomarkers are crucial for investigating the impact of diet on health, in that they shed light on an individual’s diet and nutritional status, as well as on their present and past exposure to a particular chemical compound. The proposal submission deadline is 9 June 2014.
Pre-announcement: a joint call for transnational collaborative research projects on sustainable management of water resources in agriculture, forestry and freshwater aquaculture sectors soon to be launched
The Joint Programming Initiatives “Water Challenges for a Changing World” (Water JPI) and “Agriculture Food Security and Climate Change” (FACCE JPI) pre-announce the upcoming call for transnational collaborative research projects. As a member of both initiatives, ANR is joining partners from twenty three countries to issue this call. The indicative total available budget amounts to 26M€. The call is expected to open on 16.02.2016 with a closing date for pre-proposals on 19.04.2016.

Quels sont les besoins actuels en matière de recherche et d’innovation pour mieux lutter contre les résistances aux antimicrobiens ? La JPI AMR, initiative européenne de programmation conjointe sur la résistance aux antimicrobiens dont l’ANR est partenaire, présente dans son nouvel agenda stratégique un aperçu des avancées scientifiques et définit un ensemble d’objectifs pour six piliers prioritaires du domaine. Vingt-sept pays ont contribué à l’élaboration du programme.
ANR signs a protocol with TÜBITAK in Turkey
On 27 January 2014, in the context of the official visit of French President François Hollande in Turkey, Prof. Yücel Altunbaşak, President of TÜBITAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and Pascale Briand, Director General of the French National Research Agency, signed a protocol. This protocol consolidates the existing relations between both organisations, and provides for the funding of joint research projects between French and Turkish teams.
JPIAMR Junior Researchers Online Workshop
The Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance, JPIAMR, is a global collaborative organisation and platform engaging 28 nations, including France by ANR and INSERM, to curb antimicrobial resistance (AMR) with a One Health approach.
