There is a growing interest in using blockchain within distributed Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures to address certain limitations such as state synchronization and trust between distributed SDN controllers. The blockchain technology introduces a significant latency that is incompatible with many Internet of Things applications. TIC-TAC-SDN aims at developing a new adaptive consensus protocol to address this problem.

The ECOCURL project proposes to leverage recent contributions in Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning to study how compositional communication systems can emerge in artificial agent populations and support the open-ended discovery of increasingly complex cooperative strategies. The results of the project will be eventually demonstrated in a rich 3D environment and disseminated in the scientific community and high-visibility outreach events.
The ANR participates in the 10th call of the CHIST-ERA ERA-NET consortium (European coordinated research on long-term ICT and ICT-based scientific Challenges) bringing together 19 countries, with a budget of 11M€. The French National Research Agency, in partnership with 21 countries is set to launch the fourth Joint Transnational Call (JTC) for proposals on “Multidisciplinary Research Projects on Personalised Medicine – Development of Clinical Support Tools for Personalised Medicine Implementation” through the ERA-NET ERA PerMed. This represents the third additional call not being co-funded by the European Commission. The call is likely to open on December 14, 2020.

In the research project associated with this chair, we propose to develop efficient algorithms and mathematical tools for analyzing large geometric data collections, including 3D shapes represented as triangle or quad meshes, volumetric data, point clouds possibly embedded in high-dimensions and graphs representing geometric (e.g. proximity) data.<br />Our project is motivated by the fact that large annotated collections of geometric models have recently become available, and that machine learning algorithms applied to such collections have shown promising initial results, both for data analysis and synthesis. We believe that these results can be significantly extended by building on recent advances in geometry processing, optimization and learning.
