JPcofuND 2. Understanding the mechanisms of non-pharmacological intervention
The ANR launches in collaboration with the ERA-NET JPcofuND 2 a joint call to support multinational, collaborative research projects aiming at improving the understanding of the mechanisms and biological substrates that underlie non-pharmacological interventions in order to tailor a holistic personalized treatment approach. Several non-pharmacological interventions have been shown to be effective and accepted by the patients. Such interventions may include, among others, psychosocial interventions, neuromodulation, nutrition or exercise. However, there is yet little knowledge about the mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions, e. g. on the molecular or cellular level.
JPcofuND 2. Rapid-action call for expert Working Groups addressing the impact of COVID-19 on Neurodegenerative Diseases research
The ANR launches in collaboration with the ERA-NET JPcofuND 2 a rapid action call for leading scientists in the field to establish community-led Working Groups dedicated to discuss research strategies that concern the impact of COVID-19 on the development and progression of neurodegenerative disease as well as on the care of patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. These strategies can also consider the impact of COVID-19 on neurodegenerative disease research itself, how it is conducted and how it influenced technological innovations for neurodegenerative diseases.

European Joint Programme SOIL - 1st external call (EJP SOIL-1)
The European Joint Programme SOIL started in February 2020 to create an integrated framework for agricultural soil research in Europe in order to enhance capacity, capability and knowledge in the area of soil research. The objective of this call is to foster holistic agricultural (forestry soils are not excluded) soil management practices which will assist in making a shift to diversify farming to include a variety of sustainable and environmental practices. To achieve this aim, knowledge about soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestration and biodiversity is essential. Thus, the call addresses three major topics: SOC sequestration, biodiversity and sustainable production and environment.
