High Energy All FIber SYstems
In this project we propose to develop technological breakthroughs to prepare the next generation of large scale laser systems and of powerful/energetic fiber laser systems for industrial and medical a
Low-energy excitations in 3D Dirac and Weyl semimetals
Soft polymer adhesion on patterned substrates
Simultaneous control of adhesion strength and detachment dynamics of soft adhesive materials is a key improvement lever for industrial applications especially during assembly and converting processes.
First zootechnical innovations in Southwest Asian societies (5th-1rst Millennia B.C.): origin and development of sheep breeds
From an early stage, research focused on Neolithization and the domestication of plants and animals and the fields of archaeozoology and molecular biochemistry significantly enhanced our knowledge of the origins of domestication . However, few investigations have been conducted up until now on the development of domestic races and the zootechnical practices of the first livestock farmers.

MicroRobot-assisted Cholesteatoma Surgery
Cholesteatoma, an epidermal mass in the middle ear, often results from chronic otitis or tympanic perforation. Affecting 1 in 10,000 people/year, it progressively invades, impacting facial nerves and internal structures. Surgical treatment involves the total removal of pathological tissue. Detection of residues during surgery is crucial to avoid frequent recurrence (10-50%). It is imperative to develop effective, minimally invasive treatments.

Extracting water minerals and energy from seawater desalination brine
With more than 18,000 plants worldwide, seawater desalination is the most reliable and sustainable way to produce drinking water in Mediterranean countries under water stress. EXTRASEA’s challenge i
From genes to shape-Towards development of a computable flower
The project is aimed at understanding how molecular regulation integrates with mechanics to control plant shape, a problem with wide implications for both fundamental and applied biology. We will address this issue in the Arabidopsis flower, which is amongst the best characterized systems in plant developmental biology. Using a pluridisciplinary aproach, we will integrate information from multiple scales, from molecular networks to physical properties and geometry into a single picture.
Role of extracellular vesicles in plant-microbe interactions
Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles (EVs) secreted from cells by the fusion of multivesicular bodies (endosomes) with the plasma membrane. Although they are implicated in intercellular transport of sRNAs and proteins in animals and plants, very little is known about EV composition or functions in filamentous fungi.
