In a context that favours environmentally-friendly approaches, FLUIDE is concerned with the logistical potential of the river ports of 4 river metropolises Paris, Lyon, Lille and Strasbourg. We have carried out a detailed study that analyzed the integration of ports in freight flows at different geographical levels and gave us an understanding of the competitiveness characteristics of river transport with a view to its functional integration within urban areas.
The objective of the OMEGA project, during 2010-2013, is to develop and test a pluri-disciplinary assessment methodology allowing (i) to measure service provided by the urban water management system; and (ii) stakeholders to choose a strategy in order to improve service provision.

The reduction of pollutant discharges to limit their impact on the environment is a major preoccupation of most cities. A multidisciplinary study involving both environmental and social sciences for a better management of pollutant fluxes in cities is proposed. This project aims at helping water managers from local governments to define efficient strategies for the management of pollutant fluxes.

CO2 transformation and utilization is a desirable alternative to CO2 storage for cutting the emissions of this greenhouse gas, while creating added value able to compensate for the energetic and economic costs of its capture. Yet, the scope of chemicals available from CO2 remains very narrow and this project led to the development of 5 novel catalytic processes to tackle this challenge.

In order to ensure economic efficiency, a rigorous approach has to be impleted to acheive these ambitious goals. The AETIC project responds to this problematic with an original methodology applied here to the Grenoble agglomeration but potentially generalisable. <br />
