Designed to improve France’s success rate in European Research Council (ERC) calls, Tremplin-ERC (T-ERC) is a funding instrument set up by ANR as part of its Work Programme 2024. T-ERC is open to all ERC research disciplines (LS, PE, SH).
The purpose of the ACCESS ERC call is to support young talents in the preparation of an application to the ERC Starting Grants call, by enabling them to strengthen their CVs, so that they could be competitive in this specific call. The Access ERC programme consists in financing two-year (24 months) post-doctoral contracts for young PhDs hosted in French research labs.
JPcofuND 2 Working groups “Use of digital technologies in neurodegenerative disease research and clinical practice”
The ANR launches in collaboration with the ERA-NET JPcofuND 2 a rapid action call for leading scientists to establish a number of ambitious, innovative, multi-disciplinary and multi-national expert Working Groups dedicated to assess the current and future impact of digital technologies on research and care in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.
Although climate change is a global phenomenon, its influence on ecosystems varies from region to region depending on local specificities, giving rise to the need in accurate and cross-sectional knowledge on the consequences of climate change as a function of territorial characteristics.
Ecological connectivity to maximise biodiversity conservation between marine protected areas in the Southwest Indian Ocean - SIOMPA 2023
The Southwest Indian Ocean (SWIO) basin is a globally recognized hotspot of endemism and biodiversity. It is home to many spatially fragmented Marine Protected Areas (MPA), which are essential in maintaining marine ecosystems. A crucial element, which requires further investigation, is the ecological connectivity, often highlighted in the design of MPAs and the guarantees of conservation success.
Climate change and Energetic transition : Impacts for Defence – Call for expressions of interest - 2023
The French National Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with the French Defence Innovation Agency (AID), is launching the call for expression of interest “Climate change and Energetic transition : Impacts for Defence”. Applicants are invited to submit proposals to enhance knowledge about climate change and energy transition and their implications for Defence for one or more of these priorities:
The eighth round of the Open Research Area (ORA) is based on an agreement between the Agence nationale de la Recherche (ANR; France), the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG; Germany), the Economic and Social Research Council of UK Research and Innovation (ESRC; the UK), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC; Canada).
The world is facing exceptional social, economic, technological, environmental, and geopolitical challenges, including migration, climate change emergencies, energy crises, war, conflict, political extremism, erosion of democratic institutions, protest, violence, corruption and growing public distrust of governance and expertise. These affect not only the institutions of democratic government but also the wider structures and processes that make our societies work and hold together.
The call for expressions of interest « Research on open science practices and issues » invites researchers to initiate a reflective and critical approach to observe and study their research practices in the context of open science. This AMI, which prepares for a future call for proposals, is open to all scientific communities.
In the framework of its 2023 Work Programme, the French National Research Agency (ANR) proposes the SRSEI call with a continuous submission format throughout the year.
