Distributed adaptation and learning over graph signals – DARLING
The objective of the DARLING project is to propose new adaptive, distributed and collaborative learning methods on high-dimensional dynamic graphs in order to extract structured information from the data streams acquired or transiting at the nodes of these graphs. These methods are confronted with two state-of-the-art observation techniques operating at extreme scales: radio astronomy with the SKA instrument and brain imaging by magnetoencephalography.
Analysis and Separation of Complex signals: Exploiting the Time-frequency structure – ASCETE
In this project, our goal is to develop new reassignment techniques robust to noise and that applies in circumstances where the signal exhibits complex time-frequency patterns, such as interference. Meanwhile, neural network and deep learning approaches will also be investigated, to extract meaningful information from time-frequency representations.
Genomic factors underlying the effect of Respiratory Viruses and Allergens in Asthma – NIRVANA
Asthma is a frequent disabling chronic respiratory disease associated with high global costs. For two environmental factors, respiratory allergens and respiratory viruses, strong association with asthma incidence or exacerbations is well documented. A few previous observations suggest that the host genotype plays an important role in the immune response of individual allergens and rhinovirus, but these studies were limited in the assessment of allergen-specific and RV-specific immune responses.
BITTER taste and deTOXification – BITTERTOX
The adaptation to noxious xenobiotics imply not only detoxification mechanisms but also an adaptation of the sensory systems, especially the taste system.
SERS hyperspectral imaging for contaminant detection – HYDRAE
In Hydrae project, we proposed to develop an innovative detection method based on hyperspectral chemical imaging recorded on several optimized SERS-active nanostructured patterns elaborated on the same substrate and to use a statistical analysis of spectral data (chemometrics) to detect and identify the pollutants.
Role of plant-endophyte (bacteria and fungi) associations in polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon biodegradation – EndOMiX
Effect of anthropogenic stress on larval recruitment in coral reef fish – Manini
GET OP STAND OP : crossing Geochemistry, Exposure, healTh: Oxidative Potential, a first STANDardization before OPerativeness. – GET_OP_STAND_OP
Determination of the reliability of the oxidative potential as a relevant indicator of fine-particle-related health effects, a necessary step before its evaluation as a new metric for air quality regulation.
