Effects of early-life and chronic exposure to dietary AGEs on chronic low grade inflammation and age-related disorders
DEEP Learning For Large Deep Imaging Programs
In future large surveys like LSST or Euclid, high precision photometric redshift measurements and light curve classification will play a central role. We propose to revisit the current methods used to analyze these data by developing deep learning techniques that will directly use the multi-band images at the pixel level to measure a redshift or to perform a classification.
Collective excitations in topological matter
One of the most promising ways improve the efficiency of THz and MIR plasmonic devices is to study new materials. In particular, Dirac matter has a great potential because of its strongly non-parabolic or linear band structure, associated with the semi-relativistic kinematics of the charge carriers. However, it turns out that the influence of the non-parabolicity of the bands and of the Diracness of the electrons on collective excitations has never been carefully studied until now.
Conformational design for high throughput MS/MS reading of digital polymers
The shapeNread project aims at optimizing the tridimensional structure of digital polymers for high throughput sequencing. Coded data will be segmented in blocks to be released in a first MS/MS step and further activated in a second MS/MS step for sequencing. Specific tags will be conceived by molecular modelling in order to distinguish these segments in terms of conformation and hence enable high throughput sequencing by using MS/MS-IMS-MS/MS.

Comammox Microorganisms' Contribution to Nitrification in Soil
Two major groups of AO, ammonia oxidising archaea (AOA) and ammonia oxidising bacteria (AOB), were assumed to be the major contributors to aerobic ammonia oxidation in soil. However, bacteria belonging to the phylum Nitrospira are not only also capable of ammonia oxidation. There is therefore an urgent requirement to determine their functional importance in soils and whether they make major contributions to fertiliser-associated N loss and pollution.
Glacial--Interglacial variations of the carbon cycle induced by climatic changes in Himalaya
This project aims to clarify the climate sensitivity of the Earth system by recording the carbon burial (organic and inorganic) linked to the erosion of the Himalaya at the glacial-interglacial scale. We will apply mineralogical and geochemical studies on the active levee (0-100 ka) as well as the other quaternary levees cored by IODP Exp. 354 in the Bay of Bengal.
THERAPEUTIC INNOVATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF RADIATION-INDUCED GASTROINTESTINAL SYNDROME
Medical countermeasures under the NRBC risk are still insufficient. Indeed, exposure to ionizing radiation can have serious consequences for the health of exposed people and potentially impact many vi
Deciphering the elemental building blocks of visual appearance
By combining cutting-edge high-resolution optical stimulation techniques with novel appearance-based psychophysical methods in a large range of behavioral experiments, we aim to uncover the elemental building blocks of visual space perception.
From local diversity to transnational institutionalization: The emergence of the European Unified Patent Court
The UNIFIED project pursues research on a transnational institutional convergence in the context of geographically and legally fragmented judicial practices in Europe. In particular, the project focuses on an empirical case of an emergence of a European institution in a real life, the European Unified Patent Court (UPC) that will be exclusively competent for patent-related legal disputes Europe-wide.
