The shapeNread project aims at optimizing the tridimensional structure of digital polymers for high throughput sequencing. Coded data will be segmented in blocks to be released in a first MS/MS step and further activated in a second MS/MS step for sequencing. Specific tags will be conceived by molecular modelling in order to distinguish these segments in terms of conformation and hence enable high throughput sequencing by using MS/MS-IMS-MS/MS.

MimLiveronChip proposes a bioinspired approach to mimic the mandatory steps allowing the study of xenobiotic’s toxicity and metabolism in the liver.
It has long been acknowledged that macrophages (Mf) and mast cells (MCs) localize to the outer surfaces of cutaneous blood vessels and regulate their functions. However, the molecular identity of this crosstalk is largely unknown. Our studies will provide novel insight into both, the local regulation of perivascular immune cells, as well as the physiological functions they exert in the skin, findings that likely can be extrapolated to other peripheral tissues.
DISTINGUO: a Knowledge Base on Distinctiones,<br />the Backbones of Medieval Preaching
In public health contexts, where results of conventional imaging methodologies are often disappointing, molecular multimodal imaging is within a realm of possibility. Various imaging techniques are informative for functional groups, molecular weights, or special recognition sites, but no individual technique provides optimal answers to all questions. Thus, combining information from two or more measurement platforms is highly attractive.
Because the advent of mAbs is recent, the insights regarding their evolution after administration to the patient are limited. The clinical practice suggests that patients may respond differently to the treatment. To further improve the knowledge and adjust the dosage, it is important to implement a clinical follow-up of patients. To achieve this ambitious goal, an innovative CZE/MSMS method will be developed for the quantification and structural characterization of mAbs in biological samples.
The diffusion of reactive adsorbates on a catalytic substrate is an elementary step in heterogeneous catalysis. Its nature has been by 3He-spin-echo experiments. The project is to study the diffusion process from fundamental principles based on quantum mechanics in order to better understand the experimental outcomes. This study will lead to major progress in the technology of catalytic processes, essential for the world’s economy and sustainable growth.
