Le 11 février 2020, lors de la cinquième Conférence Nationale du Handicap, le gouvernement prend l’engagement de lancer un grand programme national de recherche et d’innovation technologique au service de la vie quotidienne et de l’autonomie. Financé par le plan « France 2030 » à hauteur de 30 millions d’euros sur la période 2021-2026, ce programme cible spécifiquement l’autonomie en lien avec l’avancée en âge ou les situations de handicap. Le CNRS est chargé du pilotage de ce programme qui doit aboutir à des progrès scientifiques et techniques majeurs permettant à la France de faire face aux défis humains, sociaux, démographiques, sanitaires et économiques, en adaptant à la fois les politiques en ces domaines mais également l’environnement dans lequel les personnes en situation de handicap ou en perte d’autonomie évoluent ou sont susceptibles d’évoluer.

Pluripotent stem cells can differentiate in all cell types of an organism. During this process they progressively develop a narrower potential that results in commitment to specific cell fate with specific gene expression profile and functional property. Understanding how this process is regulated is of main importance both on fundamental and medical aspects. This is the objective of our project that focuses on a newly characterized actor believed to play a key role in cell fate determination.
