Pre-announcement of the first Call for Proposals of the ICT-AGRI-FOOD Cofund ERA-NET

In the frame of the ERA-NET Cofund ICT-AGRI-FOOD, ANR will participate to a new Call for transnational, collaborative and inter/trans disciplinary research proposals that will be launched at the end of November. The Call will be funded by 29 institutions from 22 countries, 3 European regions and the European Commission and has an overall budget of more than 20 Mio Euro.

The ERA-NET Cofund ICT-AGRI-FOOD aims to initiate excellent, transnational research projects with an interdisciplinary approach "from farm to fork" and to develop digital solutions for the establishing of sustainable food systems involving all actors along the value chain.

The ICT-AGRI-FOOD 2019 Joint Call addresses to new and emerging topics as the development and integration of new digital technologies for precision agriculture/smart farming, logistics, food processing, supply chain management, traceability and business transaction. Applied and fundamental research proposals which impact should be relevant for enabling digital technology solutions for a transition towards more sustainable and resilient agri-food systems are expected. 

The submission will follow a 2-step procedure with a pre-proposal (step 1) and full-proposal (step 2) steps. There will be an expert evaluation and selection by funders at both steps. The call will be published by the end of November 2019.
