Partnership between ANR and the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) in view of joint funding of stem cell projects
Following this agreement and according to the conclusions of the workshop, the ANR is currently in discussion with the CIRM in order to launch a first ANR-CIRM joint call for proposals. The objective is to fund research projects on stem cells, with the aim of addressing questions related to the understanding of the biology of stem cell, particularly human stem cell, and stem cell fate. This call for proposals would open in November 2011 for collaborative research projects with French and Californian teams. The CIRM would finance the Californian researchers, and the ANR would finance the French researchers.
