JPIAMR Junior Researchers Online Workshop

The Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance, JPIAMR, is a global collaborative organisation and platform engaging 28 nations, including France by ANR and INSERM, to curb antimicrobial resistance (AMR) with a One Health approach.

A workshop dedicated to Junior Researchers working in the field of AMR will be held on Zoom over two consecutive days on 29-30 June, 2021 from 10:00 to 16:00 CEST. This event is organised by the Polish National Science Centre (NCN), with the support of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (AEI), and the JPIAMR Secretariat. The workshop hopes to attract an international audience of about 100 junior researchers, medical doctors and veterinary doctors working in the field of antimicrobial resistance.

The workshop will build awareness of the JPIAMR goals and activities as well as engage junior researchers in discussion about their capacity building needs and preferences. Two special sessions will showcase the research projects and networks funded by JPIAMR as well as present the array of career paths available to AMR professionals. More information including the registration and agenda can be found via this link.

The event is open to early stage researchers (ESR) fulfilling the following criteria:

  1. Career stage: last year of the doctoral program up to 5 years after PhD
  2. Geographical reach: JPIAMR member countries with and without funded projects as well as non-member countries involved in JPI-EC-AMR and JPIAMR-ACTION (Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal).

The registration is open until the 9th of June at 12.00 CEST. Registrants accepted for participation will be notified 2 weeks before the event. Up to five pre-registered ESRs from each country will be selected to attend the workshop on the first-come, first-served basis.
