France-Singapore: an ANR-NRF agreement to facilitate the co-funding of joint research projects
The agreement signed between the ANR and the NRF establishes a brand new scheme for joint funding of France-Singapore collaborative research projects. The cooperation should start in the second half of 2014, in the context of ANR's 2015 Work Programme and through the opening of its generic call for proposals to France-Singapore collaborations. NRF will launch a specific call for proposals dedicated to France-Singapore collaborations. The thematic scope of this joint grant call are in the areas of materials, nanotechnologies and nanosystems.
Singapore and France applicants will submit a same project proposal (in English) to NRF and ANR in parallel, following the schedule, process and conditions defined by their respective agency.
The aim is to finance 3-year basic research projects with up to €500,000 based on an equitable contribution from each country. A strong synergy and true added value of international cooperation will be expected from the projects.
