#CreaMaker: assessment of co-creativity in a maker-based activity combining tinkering and digital fabrication – CreaMaker
Creativity has been mostly studied from an individual point of view in the field of psychology. Nevertheless, there is a growing number of studies in the field of education in team-based activities in different types of creative projects, such maker based education. The ANR #CreaMaker project aims to advance the knowledge of creativity and co-creativity process not only in same-age teams but also in intergenerational ones, in ill-defined problem solving with educational robotic technologies.
''Insane persons'' and ''native''. A legal history of a double discrimination in the French Africa (end of 9th-1960) – AMIAF
The AMIAF research project intends to carry out a legal and historical survey of the legal administrative discourses and practices which determined the construction and functioning of the status of native madness in African territories colonised by France between the last two decades of the 19th century and 1960.
A MULTIdisciplinary approach to decipher the first step of aroma MIXture perception. – MULTIMIX
Odors that we detect in our environment result from the perception of mixtures of odorants. Several of these mixtures can lead to a homogeneous percept: odor blending or masking by one component.<br />MULTIMIX aims to identify the biological, molecular and sensory characteristics of odorants that contribute to a homogeneous percept. It will provide keys for the improvement of the flavoring of foods formulated according to nutritional recommendations.
A PAC-Bayesian Representation Learning Perspective – APRIORI
The tools offered by the PAC-Bayesian theory allow to bring an original point of view on representation learning methods while bringing strong theoretical guarantees and new directions to develop new algorithms.
A Social-Ecological System Approach towards a Sustainable Intensification of Agricultural Production in Sub-Saharan Africa – SESASA
The project aims at developing a “System of Systems” concept to assess land-use and land-management change scenarios to strengthen sustainable water management and food security for the Sudanian-Savannah region. This will be achieved by analyzing social-ecological system interactions including local stakeholder knowledge, human management impacts and nature responses at nested scales. The scenario-simulation will deliver bundles of management strategies to improve food and water securities.

Advanced magnetocaloric materials for adiabatic refrigeration – Matadire
Low-temperature refrigeration is crucial to emergent quantum information technologies and various other scientific and technological applications ranging from space telescopes to medicine. We suggest to significantly improve the existing technology of adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration (ADR) by performing joint fundamental and applied research on new refrigerant materials, in first palce frustrated magnets.
Advanced statistical modelling of ecological networks – EcoNet
