Development of speech perception in noise: Role of sensory factors and central inefficiencies for normal-hearing and hearing-impaired children
This level of noise represents a real risk for education specially for language acquisition and reading [...] more particularly for children with special-educational needs. Thus, a crucial societal challenge is [...] ly improve theoretical knowledge in language education by exploring how children learn a language in
Derivational Morphology in Extension
Demonext consists in the construction of a French morphological database (MDB) that describes the derivational properties of words in a systematic manner. The MDB will meet multiple needs, such as empirical confirmation of morphological hypothesis and elaboration of new ones, design of natural language processing (NLP) tools, vocabulary teaching and the treatment of developmental or acquired language disorders.

Co-innovations across scales to enhance sustainable intensification, resilience, and food and nutritional security in water-managed agricultural systems in West Africa
Development and impact of water-managed agricultural systems in West Africa has been limited in spite of its potential for economic and social development. <br />The great benefits of irrigation observed in other regions with limited rainfall, such as Southern-Europe, are not observed in West Africa, even though irrigation brings direct benefits to increase food security and resilience of smallholders, e.g. reducing crop failure risks, increasing cropping diversity and land productivity.
A Social-Ecological System Approach towards a Sustainable Intensification of Agricultural Production in Sub-Saharan Africa
The project aims at developing a “System of Systems” concept to assess land-use and land-management change scenarios to strengthen sustainable water management and food security for the Sudanian-Savannah region. This will be achieved by analyzing social-ecological system interactions including local stakeholder knowledge, human management impacts and nature responses at nested scales. The scenario-simulation will deliver bundles of management strategies to improve food and water securities.
