Towards exoskeleton-human symbiosis: investigating how humans interact with an upper-limb robotic exoskeleton – EXOMAN
The use of robotic exoskeletons is promising in the fields of health and work ergonomics, but the lack of understanding of human motor control in interaction with this type of device remains a factor limiting their effectiveness.
There is a growing interest in using blockchain within distributed Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures to address certain limitations such as state synchronization and trust between distributed SDN controllers. The blockchain technology introduces a significant latency that is incompatible with many Internet of Things applications. TIC-TAC-SDN aims at developing a new adaptive consensus protocol to address this problem.
Towards clinical investigation on the use of Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonist for wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration – MR-A-MD
Wet AMD remains a major cause of vision loss despite anti-VEGF therapy due to frequent re-injections, geographic atrophy, fibrosis and no effects on neovessel growth. Based on pre clinical results and pilote clinical study, we propose an alternative therapy using antagonism of mineralocorticoid receptors (MRA).<br />MR-A-MD aims at developing a local formulation of spironolactone and identifying molecular and imaging markers to optimize the design of a prospective randomized clinical trial.
Towards a comprehensive model of plant plasma membrane lipid bilayer
en 2022 après les années de transition 2020 et 2021. Recherche : Le LabEx contribue
The UnaG protein emits intense and bright green light once the bilirubin (BR) ligand is bound to the protein. BR is an indirect marker of various human liver functions UnaG is therefore a promising direct medical tool to track liver disease as well as a probe to detect cardiovascular diseases. The project aims to model this new class to understand its electronic, spectral, and conformational properties as well as to design new ligands or mutants enlarging the possible applications.

Toward a multi-stakeholder socio-seismological observation network for seismic risk reduction in Haiti – OSMOSE
builds on the S2RHAI pilot project (CNRS/IRD, 2019-2021), which used low-cost and low-maintenance seismological
Only 25% of patients with primary or secondary liver tumors are candidates for curative treatment. Focused ultrasound has the potential to be a new therapeutic option but major innovations are needed. The challenge of the TONUS project is to implement these breakthrough innovations and to demonstrate the feasibility, efficacy and preclinical safety of this new treatment in order to be able to start using it in clinically.
