Impact of a school-based autism anti-stigma intervention: the IDEAL program
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impairments in social communication and the presence of restricted interests and stereotyped behaviors, with a current prevalence estimated at around 1 in 100 children. Today, more and more children with ASD have access to schooling (National Disability Conference, 2016). However, the challenge of inclusive schooling is still far from being met.
Mediterranean thermohaline circulation sensitivity: lessens from the past for future
Climate projections for the 21st century indicate the risk of slowing down the thermohaline circulation in the Mediterranean with a potential socio-economic impact. However, the results of the simulations do not fully converge. We can improve our knowledge of the sensitivity of the Mediterranean circulation by studying the response to the past strong perturbation.
The NILE & AFAR areas: hydrological change sensitivity and impact on past human adaptation since 20,000 years
The NILAFAR program aims to study the impact of hydrological fluctuations on societies at the transitionbetween hunter-gathering and agro-pastoralism in NE Africa over the last 20,000 years. Its objectives are to better understand the mechanisms at the origin of the intensity fluctuations of the African monsoon (external forcing and internal feedbacks of the climate system), and at the origin of episodes of hyperaridity that occurred over a few hundred years.
Sampling Rare Climate Events
The goal of the SAMPRACE project is to simulate rare climate events (e.g., heatwaves or cold spells), for which observations are sparse and climate model simulations are costly. SAMPRACE uses principles of statistical physics to develop and adapt rare event algorithms.
Impact of tailings on Environment: example of transfers of elements from Spoil tips in the North of France
The spoil tips of the North of France are, on the one hand, a wonderful opportunity for the development of an unique and original ecosystem (colonization by pioneer species) that must be protected, but on the other hand, a potential source of pollutants for the surface environment (leaching and alteration of spoil tips). To know if this balance is broken, transfers must be defined and quantified, and the environmental risk assessed. This is what the ANR ENTRESOL is working on.
high strain RAte, TEmperature and Small-scale mechanical properties of materials
The RATES project aims to develop a unique expertise on a national scale (and almost unique in the world) on the measurement/modeling of the behavior of materials at the scale of a few microns (scale of surface layers, coatings, areas affected by new manufacturing processes) at very high strain rates and very high temperatures.

An inter- and transdisciplinary project to study collaborations in sustainability science
Although the growth of collaborations is a major current trend in the life sciences, little is known about how they influence the working practices of researchers and their partners. <br />COLLAB² aims to provide a broad and in-depth view of these collaborations, based on a study of three structures where they play a major role: «zones ateliers« (ZA), human-environment observatories (OHM) and biosphere reserves (BR).
A new biphasic microgel as lipoxin delivery system for tissue engineering
We hypothesize that exogenous provision of LXA4 could dampen excessive inflammation in pulpitis and peridontitis. The specific goal of this project is to evaluate the potential benefits of a new Biphasic Microgel (BPMG) as lipoxin A4 (LXA4) delivery system. This functionalized BPMG aims both to modulate inflammation and to promote tissue repair or regeneration in pulpitis and periodontitis
S5: Synchronous Slow Slip & Seismic Swarm
Catching, modelling and understanding Slow Slip and Seismic Swarms along the Andean subduction in Ecuador, Peru and Chile
