COMETary dust ORigin
The formation and evolution mechanisms of cometary dust are studied by the analyses of ultra-carbonaceous Antarctic Micrometeorites (UCAMMs) extracted from the CONCORDIA micrometeorite collection. Experimental simulations of the formation of cometary organic matter were performed by high energy ion irradiation of cometary ice analogues in the laboratory.
ET-Nod : Effectors Triggering Nodulation In legumes
Legumes play a major agronomical and ecological role due to their ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen during symbiosis with rhizobia. In the Frame of the SymEffectors ANR project (2016-2020), we revealed an alternative symbiotic process that does not rely on the Nod factor synthesis by the rhizobia but by secretion of effectors translocated by the T3SS machinery. Among the effectors required for symbiosis, we identified the nuclear-targeted ErnA effector as a key actor for nodule organogenesis.
The French Yellow Vests: A Pluridisciplinary Approach to Popular Politicization and Mobilization
This multidisciplinary project documents the participation in the GJ. It sheds light on the politicisation, the scope of the protest, its media, political and social reception. It is based on a corpus of quantitative and qualitative data collected since 2018, supplemented by questionnaires, interviews, observations, and grievance books. The comparative approach and the multidisciplinary approach give an account of the movement in its different dimensions and configurations.
Sustainable intensification of fruit production systems through innovative pest biological control technologies
In sub-Saharan Africa, fruit production is affected by pests that strongly impact on attaining food and nutrition security. The excessive reliance on chemicals is not sustainable, and current pest control methods are insufficient to minimize crop losses. Innovations relying on ecologically-based control become crucial to respond efficiently to sustainable fruit production, as well as societal concerns for safer and nutritionally-balanced diets, better health and environmental protection.
Ultra Low Power Wake-up Radio
The scientific motivation of U-Wake is to achieve a fully self-powered wake-up receiver prototype. It is made possible through the adjunction of ultra-low power electronic subparts (RF demodulator, neuro-inspired detector and Spiking Neural Networks) and RF energy harvesting. This object will be realized in standard industrial CMOS technology to allow low cost and wide scale deployment.
A therapeutic target for ischemic related injuries, application to organ transplantation
This project aims to design a new generation of pharmacological inhibitors capable of countering the consequences of an ischemic episode. They target a protein (serRS) that we have recently identified and implicated in the resistance of organs to ischemia. The clinical application is kidney transplantation.
