Optical Micro-Sensors for Digital Agriculture – MICROCAN
The MICROCAN project aims to propose an integrated infrared optical solution to meet the current objective of reducing the use of phytosanitary inputs in agriculture. It aims to prove the feasibility of optical micro-sensors that will eventually allow early detection of plant diseases, via the detection of disseminated forms of phytopathogenic fungi. The innovation produced will make it possible to avoid systematic preventive treatments, thanks to a better targeted decision support. The consortium is entirely located in Montpellier, a city that occupies a key position in agronomy research. It has the scientific and technological skills to carry out the MICROCAN project, which is based on interdisciplinary fields in instrumentation, metrology, optics, chemistry, and biotechnology.
