Spectral efficient Receivers and Resource Allocation for satellite cognitive systems – SIERRA
The project aims at enhancing the satellite systems in order to meet the envisaged increase in the traffic demand. Towards this, high spectrum reuse is required which leads to the main following issue: the spectral resource has to be exploited more intensively through the paradigm of the cognitive radio. Therefore, the objective of the project is to develop focus on distributed resource allocation for underlay cognitive satellite terminals coexisting with the incumbent terrestrial networks when the required channel state information at the cognitive users is limited and realistic. Moreover th resource allocation algorithms will be adapted to the nonlinear impairments due to high power amplifier on-board the satellite.
