mathematical physics – Phymath

Submission summary

The project Mathematical Physics: mathematics for modern Mathematical Physics (PhyMaths) is a French-Russian project in abstract science. It is made of a French team coordinated by Pascal Hubert and a Russian team coordinated by Senya Sholsman from SkloTech. The project is based on several aspects of mathematics for mathematical physics:
Representation Theory
Statistical Mechanics
Determinantal Processes
Moduli Spaces

These four subjects are scientific fields in which French and Russian groups are at the top international level and have strong collaborations. Important open problems and concrete tasks to solve them are described in the scientific part of the proposal. Each task is very concrete.
The goal of the project is to reinforce existing collaborations and create new ones. To achieve this goal and exchange ideas, we want to plan invitations, conferences and advanced schools.
The ultimate goal of the proposal is to create a long term cooperation between French and Russian mathematicians in these fields.
